This was an amazing destination wedding in the English Countryside of Surrey. Set in a beautiful village, a family home was the venue chosen for the wedding.
Louise and Michael both live and work in Dubai but are both from the UK. They decided that England would be the best destination for their wedding as the majority of their family and friends are living there.
Louise had a very clear vision of the style and theme she was looking for and we had the job of bringing this to life! It was very exciting to work with lots of local suppliers and the caterers.
Everything for this wedding had to be outsourced due to the nature of the venue. From the marquee right through to the lighting, décor and tables and chairs! We worked with Louise on all the finer details using some of the best local businesses for each element.
Boutique wedding florist Maggie worked to create wonderful flowers for the dinner tables. As well as large urn entrance pieces, flowers for the cocktail tables and many more. She used very natural wild flowers incorporating some beautiful rich colours to add some depth to the tablescape.
The Bride and Groom wanted a very traditional English menu with a relaxed atmosphere for their guests throughout the day. So, we brought on board the wonderful caterers at Two Many Cooks. They did an amazing job creating a special menu perfectly suited to the Bride and Groom. This included tasty hand bites of sausage rolls and cheese straws, followed by a delicious roast delivered to the table and carved by a guest for an added bit of fun.
And finally, on to the wedding cake… an amazing stack of cheeses! Louise wanted to make sure everyone had something to enjoy later in the evening and this went down a treat! Beautifully displayed along with breads and condiments, there wasn’t a empty belly in sight!
There were so many details carefully created for guests to enjoy. A personalised note for each guest on their place setting including funny anecdotes. We have not been part of a more relaxed and comical wedding until now!
We absolutely loved working on thid destination wedding in the English Countryside. And most of all, love looking back at the wonderful pictures captured by Rebecca Rees.
